Tryon Forest
September means school is going and students need help with saturation mentoring/tutoring. This year we will be doing tutoring in three locations, Tryon Forest, NeXus; and Pressley Ridge. There is no greater joy than to see children’s eyes light up when they discover, learn and understand.
At each location, we are striving for saturation (one-on-one)
tutoring. Presley Ridge Tutoring begins Sept 22, Tryon Forest and NeXus begin in November.
For Tryon Forest Apts., 5-7 PM each Tuesday and Thursday.
For NeXus Church, 5-7 PM every Tuesday
For Pressley Ridge Apts., 5-7 PM every Wednesday
Our goal is 15 tutors at Tryon Forest, 40 tutors at NeXus Church, and
40 tutors at Pressley Ridge.
Volunteers assist students with math/reading exercises and provide
homework support. We provide tutor training so anyone is welcome and
encouraged to come volunteer.
We need more school supplies and a computer printer for Pressley Ridge
and Tryon Forest locations.
